Children's Christmas Presents - 12/12/2025
The ACT worked with the Social Services team on Arran to buy Christmas presents for 14 children whose families were in need of some extra help at this time of year.
Brodick Toddlers - 17/10/2025
The Brodick Toddler group provides a twice weekly opportunity for toddlers and their parents/guardians to meet up to play and have fun together. We were delighted to award the group a grant to purchase new toys.

Pirnmill Village Association - 17/10/2025
Funding was given to install internet facilities and equipment to support greater use of the hall for teaching and learning and provide the local community with an up-to-date digital resource.
Lamlash Children's Christmas Party - 17/10/2025
A grant has been awarded to the Lamlash Parent Council for the Lamlash Children's Christmas party to help make sure every child in the village receives a gift from Santa.​
Arran Young Farmers - 17/07/2025
The ACT funded the purchase of embroidered hoodies for the Arran Young Farmers helping their 40 members to feel part of the group and to represent their club with pride.
McKelvie Road Lunch Club - 17/07/2025
The ACT awarded a grant to the McKelvie Road Later Living Housing Complex in Lamlash, enabling the purchase of new crockery, cutlery, glassware and table linen. The upgraded tableware will help residents enjoy beautifully presented group meals.
Think About Plastic Arran - 17/07/2025
A grant was awarded to purchase glass trophies to be awarded to Arran primary Schools who excel in the 'TAP to Change' accreditation at Gold level.

National Trust for Scotland - 06/05/2025
The ACT donated £10,000 to help replace the trees that were destroyed during the devastating wild fire that swept through Glen Rosa.
Arran for Ardrossan Harbour - 25/04/2025
Funding was given to the Arran for Ardrossan Harbour group supporting their aim to ensure that Ardrossan is the port servicing the Isle of Arran.
Arran Football League - 25/04/2025
The ACT is delighted to provide funding to the Arran Football League for new line marking equipment, balls, first aid kits for the matches and to help with insurance and registration costs.
Kildonan Hall and Improvements Committee - 25/04/2025
A grant was given to the Kildonan Hall and Improvements Committee to equip the new cafe/shop with a coffee machine, tables and chairs, upright display freezer and crockery. The new facilities will provide the area with a much-needed resource.
Blackwaterfoot Bowling Club - 25/04/2025
Funding was awarded to the Blackwaterfoot Bowling Club to enable them to purchase bowling aids for the use of our members, disabled/less able and the general public.
Arran Theatre and Arts Trust - 25/04/2025
Funding was awarded to the Arran Theatre and Arts Trust helping them to continue the tradition of a community performance alongside professional musicians at the annual McLellan Arts Festival.
Lochranza Loos - 25/04/2025
The ACT awarded a grant to fund new steps and a handrail as part of the major renovation of the Lochranza Loos. The toilets provide a much-needed resource for locals and visitors to the area.

The ACT was delighted to support the Isle of Arran Music School by awarding them a grant of £5,500 to purchase new tenor drums so that both of their pipe bands can perfor.m together.
Southend Lunch Club - 25/04/2025
The ACT provided funding to the new Southend Lunch Club to purchase crockery and equipment to establish a monthly lunch club for elderly residents residing in the area.
Shiskine Hall - 15/01/2025
A grant was awarded to Shiskine Hall to fund the purchase of fairy lights and uplighter lamps. The new lighting will help the hall to increase bookings for parties and events to income.
Corrie and Sannox Village Committee - 15/01/2025
The ACT funded essential electrical re-wiring at the Corrie and Sannox Village Hall enabling the community to resume community activities and events for locals and visitors.
Arran Dogs - 15/01/2025
A grant was awarded to Arran Dogs to help them cover insurance costs and to pay for an online booking system. The grant will help the group to continue the running of the Arran Dog Field.
ACVS Craft, Coffee & Chat - 15/01/2025
The ACT provided funding to pay for a year's running costs for the Craft, Coffee and Chat group. The group meets weekly and provides a safe & friendly space where people can come together to feel connected with their community.
Arran Friendship Cafe - 11/10/2024
A grant was awarded to the Arran Friendship Cafe to purchase catering equipment and crockery to enable the group to enjoy a hot lunch.
Arran Geopark Ranger Service - 11/10/2024
The ACT funded the purchase of a professional, battery-powered brushcutter and a pole hedge trimmer to help the Ranger Service keep the path network clear of vegetation, ensuring that popular walking routes are accessible.
Brodick Children's Christmas Party - 11/10/2024
Funding was given to a local parents group to help with the costs of gifts, food and hall hire for the annual Brodick Children's Party attended by around 120 children in the village.
Screen Machine Scotland - 11/10/2024
The ACT donated to a Crowdfunder appeal to help the Screen Machine Scotland raise the money needed to purchase a new mobile cinema ensuring our community can continue to have access to this popular resource.
Brodick Parkrun - 11/10/2024
Funding was awarded to a group of local runners to establish a Parkrun on Arran in the grounds of Brodick Castle. The grant will be used to pay for Parkrun membership and associated costs.
Arran High School Netball Team - 17/07/2024
A grant was awarded to the newly formed Arran High School Netball team to purchase netball dresses for the 20 girls now taking part to boost their morale and team spirit attending competitive matches.
Arran Junior Sailing Club - 17/07/2024
The ACT was delighted to donate £11,000 to the Arran Junior Sailing Club to purchase a new rescue boat for the club to ensure future generations of young sailors can safely take to the water.
First Arran Brownies - 17/07/2024
Funding was awarded to this newly formed group of 10 girls based in Lamlash to help with set up costs such as stationery, craft supplies, weekly hall rental and badges.
Scottish SUP Team - 17/07/2024
A grant was given to the Scottish SUP team to help them become the first Scottish team to attend the ISA SUP World Championships in Denmark in September 2024.
Arran Access Trust - 08/04/2024
The ACT awarded a grant to the Arran Access Trust to enable them to replace the wooden seating on the monument that marks the start and end of the Arran Coastal Way in Brodick.
Arran Repair Cafe - 08/04/2024
A grant was awarded to the Arran Repair Cafe to purchase new rechargeable gardening tools to add to their tool library so that local residents can borrow these expensive items at no cost.
Arran Theatre and Arts Trust - 08/04/2024
The ACT awarded a grant to help support the various events hosted by the Arran Theatre. The Trust is an umbrella organisation which encompasses: Arran Arts Heritage Trail, Arran Visual Arts, Arran on Film, Music Arran, McLellan Arts Festival and Arran Open Studios.
Arran Dogs - 08/04/2024
A grant of £6,000 was awarded to the Arran Dogs group to erect the fencing, gates and a small shelter on their new dog field. This facility will enable owners to exercise their dogs freely in a safe enclosed area and provide a space for dog training classes.
Lamlash Community Hub - 15/01/2024
A grant was awarded to the Lamlash Community Hub to help with the administration costs associated with their project to secure Lamlash Church and Halls as a community asset.
Arran Hockey Club - 13/10/2023

A grant was given to the ACVS to fund 14 weeks of their Lunch Club attended by residents of the McKelvie Road Retirement Complex Lamlash and the Glen Estate, Brodick.
Arran First Responders - 10/04/2023
The ACT awarded £2300.00 to the Arran First Responders to enable them to purchase new equipment to allow for the expansion of the Scottish Ambulance Service Community First Responders to the whole island.
Whiting Bay Bowling Club - 17/01/2023

The ACT awarded a grant to the newly formed Arran Junior Shinty Club to pay for a coach to come to the mainland for 8 weeks to teach Shinty to local children.
Arran Crochet Group - 17/01/2023
Our very first grant was awarded to the Arran Crochet group to help them purchase crochet hooks, books and wool. Auchrannie Resort also offered the group a free meeting space.
